Sole F80

by srv
(tulsa, ok)

Bought this treadmill after several weeks of research on treadmills in this price range. Absolutely love it. Stability rivals commercial gym models. Cooling fans could be a little stronger, but otherwise well worth the $. I run/jog 3 or 4 times a week for about 3-5 miles (200 pounds) and my wife uses it daily to walk/jog/run (115 pounds) about the same. No complaints and seems extremely durable.

Have 48 hours on my F80 Treadmill and it's currently having a incline error. Replaced the control panel 3 times, new tread belt surface, new internal circuit board in my 3rd upper panel just changed my incline motor and still have an incline error. They love sending parts and I keep changing them. Labour warranty ran out but parts warranty is still active after 2 years. works very well when actually working. Not very pleased with all the problems they keep sending parts trial and error, guess I'm lucky that I can change the parts myself hope to be working soon again already 2 weeks that its out of serviice again.

Am really disappointed in this treadmill.paid $1500 for it.previously had a PROFORM which we had used for 4 years with nO problems.wanted something a little quieter....well...alot quieter and so purchased this one (sold the PROFORM).. about 50 hours into use of Sole F80.. the thing started to sound like the drum beat to a Metallica heavy metal song.......Called Sole. same story as the other guy who commented.a tech will contact you in 2-3 days.... then tech called. 'analyzed' my problem over the phone ( I thought REALLY ?!) and said they would send some parts Fed Ex... Ok...so at some point in 3rd week technician finally came to install parts. The 'thumping drumbeat' sound was bad bearings in the rear roller which he replaced. They also had to replace the hydraulic mechanism that it folds up and down on for storage/space saving. They had also sent a front roller as well....which was damaged during shipment (nice..) But there is nothing wrong with my front roller. However........ treadmill is still making some kind of strange noise..almost as if something is rattling/vibration. Tech could not locate source of noise and so 'guessed' that it must be the drive motor. He had even beaten the casing to the drive motor with a hammer..... said it must have bad bearings... Wow...all these bad bearings after 50 hours of use??????!!!!!!!! He ordered 'drive motor' over the phone while he was still here. More waiting for part....however.he told me to go ahead and continue to use the treadmill cuz it would probably run for 2 years in spite of the sound it was making...... Tried to use it one time.... it quit working altogether. Part has been here for almsot a week and still no one has come to put it in nor scheduled a day to come and install it.... I can only hope that the drive motor is the culprit of the problem. I've been without it for a month now (being as how I didn't want to use it when I wasn't sure if using it would cause further problems.....until the tech who came out to me to 'go ahead') I am truly regretting my choice to purchase this trwdmill.oh...and by the way....our old PROFORM treadmill is still working just fine (our neighbors across the street are the ones who bought our old one) I wish I still had it........despite the bad rap PROFORM brand treadmills receive.... the one we had from 8 years ago is still working just fine with no problems..

Sole F80 treadmill, Rock Solid. Couldn't be happier.

by Dave C.

After doing much studying on all makes and models of treadmills, I settled on this one. This was an excellent choice. I have had it about a month and I couldn't be more pleased.

I bought it at Dick's Sporting Goods because I wanted it right away and they had it in stock. I have a trailer so I was able to pick it up. However, the box is big, bulky and heavy and definitely requires 2 people to get it in the house. It took about 45 minutes to assemble. I did use a treadmill mat. I set it up in the kitchen bay window toward the family room so I could walk while I watch movies. This has worked out perfectly. The treadmill is very quiet. About the only sound coming from it are my shoes as they come in contact with the belt.

The first thing I noticed after assembly, is how solid the thing feels. There is nothing flimsy about this equipment. I have not used all the programs, but the ones I have used are awesome. I love the way it changes speed and incline automatically. Very cool!

The speakers work well. The cushioning is important to me as my hips and knees have been aching for months. This does a pretty good job of taking the stress off these problem areas.

The only thing I could possibly see an improvement on are the cooling fans. They only have one speed and do not produce a whole lot of air flow. But if I was walking outside on a calm day, I suppose the amount of wind in my face would be equivalent to what comes from the treadmill fans, so I guess it is acceptable.

Overall, I highly recommend the Sole F80 treadmill.

I would also like to thank this website for steering me in the right direction.

Sole F80, The one I Was Looking For

by Satbir
(Jenner, Alberta)

I was looking for a treadmill and my budget was around $600.00. And that time I did't know anything about the Treadmill. So I start searching, I read every article about best treadmill and kept changing my budget and choice for abut 5 weeks. Every time I compare my choice, I find another one with batter quality. So I was very confuse because I wanted to buy the best treadmill in my new maximum incresed budget $1600.00 or so. By now I knew everything about treadmill like Motor, Incline, best warranty, Monitor and other stuff. So by comparing that I could not find any treadmill better then Sole f80 folding Treadmill. I thought of buying Sole F63 but I wanted heart rate monitor and a more serious running machine, so left that thought. I try to find any weekness but I could't find any. Even way more expensive treadmill could't come close to Sole F80. So after 6 weeks I find the one that I was looking for and now I'm saving money for my Sole F80 and can't wait to order and have it in my home.

Sole f 80

by Stan
(San Diego, Ca)

After reading reviews, I purchased the Sole F 80 treadmill. I chose in home delivery. As I began assembling it I discovered the electronic connection on the right side was cut. I had no trouble returning the treadmill. They sent me another one and I negotioted for them to assemble at no additional cost. After a couple of times using the belt, it started to squeak. After calling they sent someone to adjust the belt. Trying it a couple more times it started squeaking again. I finally sent it back and they refunded my money. Sales and service were great. It's too bad I can't say the same for their treadmills.
