I bought the NordicTrack 1500 Commercial from Costco because it had a 3.0 CHP motor and 350 user weight capacity. 3 DAYS LATER, and 6 CALLS FOR REPAIR, THE TREADMILL WAS RETURNED with the deck jammed at 12% incline, the motor working intermittently, and the speed not working. I NEVER EVEN RAN ON IT. I ONLY WALKED THE WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM twice. The N.T. 1500 is a bohemeth of a machine boasting a huge solid frame. I am a 30 year old mechancial engineer and my father, who helped me put it together, is a 60 year old manufacturing engineer. Everytime we called ICON fitness cutomer service they made us run a diagnostic that made it WORSE. Then they told me there was a minimal trip charge for service!!! I AM CONVINCED THAT IS THE WORST TREADMILL EVER PRODUCED.

less than one year, It stops running out of blue. Their Customer Service refused warranty service only because we missed 2 days after warranty expiration date. I don't recommend this brand to anybody. It's more expensive to repair and it breaks easily.

Really Poor Customer Service. Unit was delivered Dec 28 2011 as a Xmas Gift. I had purchased delivery with assembly. The unit was delivered damaged and cracked. A replacement came on January 31, 2011 and will not turn on. Service was sent out and I am being told it will take 2 months for the part (main computer). To have purchased a Xmas gift in December and not expect a working treadmill unit April is poor customer service. Nordic Trac now tells me they will pick-up the unit and refund the purchase but they have to send a box first which will be 2 weeks and 2 weeks until someone will disassemble after that. So now for another month I have a treadmill in my home that doesn't work and in the way? BEWARE of ICONFITNESS.

I bought this treadmill for my wife who is starting a workout program. She is a walker and after only 6 days of 20 min. workouts the motor is squealing like a stuck pig. She loves the ifit chip we bought for it. But to buy another ifit-compatible treadmill would be foolish,as the same company makes pro-form,nordictrac, reebok, and some other brand i cant recall. Thank god we bought it at sears, and we can return it up to 90 days. We bought the 2yr. warranty from sears,WORTHLESS,as it only kicks in after the 1yr. nordictrac warranty expires. Nordictrac says the motor is on back order..at least a month for a replacement. Doesnt fit in with their quality sales pitch now does it?Bottom line..A lot of junk out there. Pay attention to warranty terms..look at roller size. 2.75 inches or larger, motor at least 3hp. Consumer Guide is my new source for info.!NORDIC-TRAC used to be a great name for good equipment, the unit we have says it was made in China..enough said..junk for big bucks.

What a useless machine. I originally bought an older model (C2100?) that broke so many times that they replaced it with the C2400...which has had the same abysmal results. I've broken the walking deck FIVE times on this machine so far in the less than two years that I've owned it. I've also broken several tension belts and right now the motor is broken as it dismounted at FULL RUNNING SPEED and stopped the machine dead in it's tracks.
The average repair time is 4-6 weeks with the time it takes for them to send out a tech, get the parts ordered, ship them to my home and then reschedule the tech to come out and replace them.
The only reason I've kept the machine so long is that they don't offer any sort of money back option, just an allowance towards another one of their terrible products.
This treadmill is obviously designed for the mall walker set and not anyone who might seriously run on it. I run roughly 4 days a week and at my peak average 40 miles in a week. I'm a 6' tall 185lb. male, not someone who should test the 300lb. max user weight. This machine is just terrible and I hope that anyone considering one will save yourself the time, money and blood pressure raising aggravation that dealing with this terrible company causes.
If anything good comes out of this massive economic downturn I sincerely hope that it involves NordicTrack going belly up. Worst machine EVER.

Bought it directly from company via internet. It arrived damaged.....and it has never worked property. They sent a local repair guy who knew very little about their products....and has been to my home 3 times and it still does not work.....and now they say the warranty is up even though it still does not work properly. Bad company....do not buy any of their products.

I purchased a treadmill from NordicTrack in January of 07. Before the year reached November, I had called it in for repairs 8 times. At that point I demanded that they repalce the machine. The people at NT refused to give me a different machine. In fact I was hung up on. I spent the next 3 hours on the phone complaining to anyone at NT that I could get on the phone. Finally I got to someone who would do something. This person said she would look into the problems I was having and make sure my treadmill was replaced with a treadmill which would stand up to my run. After waiting about a week I finally heard from NT. They were going to replace my treadmill. However, no one had done anything to find me a better model. I was given a new machine, but it was basicly the same model.
It's now March of 08 and I have already called in my "new" machine 2 times.
In the last year the treadmill has had several belts go out, the deck has broken 2 times, multiple undiagnosed squeeling noises, a ripped running belt, and a console which stopped working...
My advice is stay as far away from NordicTrack as you possibly can.

I placed a deposit on a Nordic Track C2500 from a company called Fitness-Superstore on the 6th Jan 2011 and was told to expect delivery in about 10 days. Two weeks later I stil hadn't taken delivery.Fitness-Superstore made it up to me by giving me some free ifit cards for when the C2500 came. When it did arrive and after 3 hours assembling it,not helped by bad Chinese machining the incline motor failed to work.I returned to F-S and was put in touch with Nordic Track who after many exchanges of e-mails and photos of incline motors told me there wouldn't be a replacement motor until April. They did offer a so called higher spec Nordic Track T9.7 at the same price, which I took delivery of,and spent another 3 hours assembling. This model is in no way an upgrade,it's not as stable as the C2500,has no fan, has fewer workout programmes and didn't take the ifit cards given to me as compensation for delayed delivery. After complaining to F-S about this I had to dismantle the T9.7 so that I could take delivery of another C2500,which I discovered on opening the box was broken.Another call to F-S to collect the broken tredmill so that I can get my deposit back and deal with an entirely different company,or take to press-ups to keep fit. It's April 25th and as yet no deposit and no treadmill,it's worth noting that most stuff these days seems to be produced in China which does appear to throw up quality issues.I certainly can't recall of anything of quality coming out of China, but manufacturers just love that cheap labour and high pofit, time for change me thinks.

I bought this treadmill brand new from Sears, and only I use it half an hour a day. After One year, the console buttons stopped working. I called Nordictrack service, they want me to buy new console for $550. This is quite expensive. A good brand of treadmill should last if not a life time a few years. My advie to you guys,
stay away from NordicTreack, they build trash.

This Machine Is JUNK! And Nordic Track customer service rates the same. I bought this treadmill and it lasted about 6 months when it quit working. I called Nordic Track and they sent me a new control panel that I had to install myself. The thing worked fine again for awhile and now it quit working properly again. It acts as if the thing heats up during a 20 minute workout and quits until it cools down before you can get it to work again. Anyway, I called them again and they said it is out of warranty and it will cost me over $600 to repair this rarely used Peice of Garbage. And Nordic Track knows there are problems with there products but are doing nothing to make it right. They will never get my business again.

Bought a high end unit a year ago. It has never worked for more than a month. Replaced parts include the motor, fan and several tablets. Absolute garbage.
Its an obvious lemon but they won't replace it with a new one and won't explain what the replacement criteria is. Utah office says they have absolutely nothing to do with replacing lemon units except following up, without judging, the technician's decision to replace it.
Technician's office says they have absoultely nothing to do with replacing units and don't know what Utah is talking about. Utah says they don't know what the technicians offices are talking about. Both claim the other office is lieing to me. What a bunch of losers!
Lemon laws don't apply to them. Worse exercise machine I ever bought and the worst customer disservice ever. Won't let me speak to the manager. This is a classic cnbc documentary customer disservice scamming.
If you are stuck with one of these nordic track scams contact government authorities, ombudsmen, cnbc, Ralph Nader, consumer advocacy, media, etc. Homer Simpson used his treadmill to watch tv while sitting on a lawn chair. Thats all its good for.
In the end if you want to use it you'll have to find a cheap handy man to fix it yourself, if thats possible. Start by throwing the defective useless android tablet away and replace it with manual switches, like controls in the old star trek movies.Try using an exercise app to track your exercises, a wrist pedometer, etc and hope nothing else breaks down.
Most of all, get the word out that Nordic Track SUCKS!

This was supposed to be a $1700 treadmill, I was able to get it for $900. In 2 years, it broke down twice. The first time, they sent me a new one. The second time they told me that they no longer made that model. Now I have a Proform which I hope will perform better over time ... I still have about 1-1/2 years left on the original 4 year extended warranty.

The treadmill is nice and wide, with a long 60 inch running walking surface. I have put over 10,000 kilometers on it in the past year and have completed 4 marathons on it. The only problem I had was that the incline settings were not set up correctly but one call to the service center and someone came to my house and corrected the problem.. Running on and on and on with great joy and satisfaction. Not like Nike's "Just do it" I am like New Balance, "Just did it"

Check and compare Treadmills here before you buy any.
Check my pricing, ongoing promotions, manufacturer, mark and model, etc then make a decision.
