For serious athletes who significantly take time out of their day to do running exercises, getting treadmill injuries may really pose for a serious problem.
Because these injuries may last for a few days, weeks, or months, you as a runner may get out of shape or, worse, lose interest in exercising.

As an advice, make sure that you buy a new pair of running shoes after about 500 miles of running.
Even if you think you still can, your body knows better. So learn to listen to it when it says that you are working out a little too much. If you’re starting to feel pain, slow down and gradually stop.
