I don't know how long the original owner had this treadmill and I wish now that I had asked. I assume from the reviews that it was since the early 2000's. I bought it for about $250CDN last fall/winter and I have been using it virtually every day since February 2010 until today (July 27/2010) and I have nothing but good things to say about this machine. Some qualifying information is that I do not run on it, I walk at about 3.5 - 3.8 mph and at an average incline of 5.5-7.5 for approximately 35 minutes every morning. I don't fold it up between uses as I keep it in the basement where I have the room to leave it set up. I wish I could locate a manual for it because setting up the electronics has been trial and error and I can't help think there may be more options to work with. I have e-mailed Key Fitness to ask if they can help locate one, but no response yet. I am happy to read the main review and I agree that so far the motor has been a good solid one. I see that the weight limit is 250 maximum recommended and since I am under 200, I doubt that will be an issue. I hope to be using this machine for many, many years.
