The LifeSpan Tr4000i treadmill is another solid folding treadmill from a very reputable company.
And just like other machines in the i series this year, the biggest selling point of this treadmill is the free membership to Lifespan fitness club (more on this below).
If you have $2,000 to spare for your new treadmill, then you should definitely read our review of this machine. It offers some of the most advance ways of working out. Plus, it comes with a powerful motor, decent running space and great quality. So all in all, I do believe this is one of the better treadmills in the $2,000 price range this year.
The LifeSpan Tr4000i treadmill comes with a 3.25HP continuous duty motor with a maximum speed of 12mph which is more than enough for most users. It also features 15 levels of incline for added intensity which is great for hardcore runners.
The 20" x 60" orthopedic running surface provides more than enough room for you to move and be comfortable during your workouts. There are 8 variable density elastomers throughout the 1" thick reversible phenolic deck that serve as suspension to prevent injury by reducing impact to your joints while running.
The display features a multi-color LCD with simultaneous readouts, exercise program name and profile, and personal data from your LifeSpan USB storage device. There are also large soft-touch keys to easily adjust your workouts and a Quick Start button to get you started at a specific speed and incline level.
There are 21 workout programs to choose from when you use this machine. There are 2 heart rate control programs(My Zone), 2 user setup programs, 7 sports training workout programs, 5 healthy living workout programs, and 5 weight loss programs. And, you can increase or decrease the speed and/or incline during a workout and the entire program will adjust accordingly.
Other features include an audio center with speakers which is MP3 compatible so you can listen to your favorite music during workouts, front safety bar which is positioned near the console for easy access and added safety, and the EZ drop folding system that folds the treadmill for storage.
And finally, the LifeSpan Tr4000i comes with lifetime warranty for frames and motor, 5 years for parts and 1 year for labor. These are good warranties but it would have been better if they added another year or two on labor like some of its competitors.
s I mentioned above, when you buy this treadmill you gain access to Lifespan Fitness Club. What this does is it allows you to track all your physical activity and manage your health in an online account.
You input your health stats then you set your goals and then the account will help you create a workout plan to reach that goal. It tells you when you should workout and at what intensity to always keep you on track of achieving your goals.
And with the LifeSpan Tr4000i treadmill, you can use its USB port to automatically save your vital health stats and workout data for easy uploading to your account so you'll get detailed reports and fun facts once you're online. And during your next workout just plug in the USB to the machine and it will automatically recognize you and ensure accurate calculations of your calorie based on your data.
So far I don’t see any weakness in this machine, It provides excellent value for your money.
If you can afford spending $2,000 for an exercise machine, then the LifeSpan Tr4000i treadmill comes highly recommended. However, if $2,000 is beyond your budget, then I suggest you visit our best buy treadmills page to look for other quality treadmills in different price ranges.
