It has numerous features for a treadmill below $1,000. But beware, Image is known for poor quality and unreliable treadmills.

Is It for You?

This treadmill is not for runners. It is perfect only for those who love to walk. If you are serious runner, then I suggest you visit our best buy treadmills page and choose a treadmill above $1,500.

What You’ll Get...

The Image 10.4QL offers a 1.75HP continuous duty motor. But I don’t think that a small motor like this will be enough to run a treadmill this big. This unit has a 55"L x 20"W tread belt. This means that the motor would have to work doubly hard to move this oversized belt which usually lead to countless problems in the future.

The power incline feature can slant the treadmill for up to 10%. It also reaches a maximum speed of 10mph. These features are common in most treadmills, even for those with a lower price tag.

The Image 10.4QL treadmill uses the Precision Response adjustable cushioning which aims to minimize injuries. But there had been some complaints in forums that the cushioning of this model needs improvement.

The one bright spot for this treadmill is its workout programs. It has 6 pre-programmed, 2 user defined, and 3 pulse driven workout profiles to give you more variety in your exercises. Plus, it is iFIT compatible so your program choices doesn't end with what this treadmill comes built-in with.

What it Lacks

This treadmill has too many downsides that it would take so much space to write them all one by one. But basically, its quality, durability, reliability and cushioning are the main areas Image should focus on improving. Also, the price is too high and the warranty is too short (90 days).
