Mikes's problem-replicated
by: Bob

It seems that the solution to this E-1 STALL electronics diagnosis was replacement of something called a CI. What is it and how can I accomplish the fix? Thanks, Long time user of my TRUE 500.

Hi There,

Due to your experience in electronics I can feel fairly comfy letting you know what needs to be done, very gently.

The only time I have heard of whacky lift functions when console overlays or buttons are in good shape, leads to a 74hct02 or 74hc02 chip that acts as a buffer from the console CPU to the lower control board, and can be found near the console connector location of that upper board.

If this IC fails it causes troubles, and is a tender job to replace the surface mount part.

If you need further help you can reach me
