10 year + owner

by Martin
(Columbia, MD)

Solid performer. In 2000 we bought the 815 for about $1100. It has performed well over the years. My wife and I both used it almost daily for about 6 years. It has been idle for quite awhile now. I used it recently and it still works well. Elevation, speed and electronics all perform as expected. It runs quietly and the motor is smooth. The only issue was with the rocker switches on the hand rest. There is one on each side for selecting speed and elevation. They are not secured properly and have slipped into the hand support arms after extended use. It is not a functional problem since the same functions are available on the console. I am about to sell my Alliance 815 for about $200 and I think the buyer will get many more years of good use out of it.

alliance 815 treadmill

by Phil
(Huntsville AL)

We have used our alliance 815 since we bought it in 2001 and never had any trouble. It still works fine and folds up easily to store in the closet. We paid about $1200 for it retail and feel like we have gotten our money's worth already...it just keeps running!

My Alliance 850 treadmill lasted 16 years and thousands of miles

by Rick
(Mansfield ma)

I purchased my Alliance 850 treadmill from PPE IN 1/2001. I was having back surgery and was told I would need to walk a lot to get back in shape.

Well I walked a average on 20-25 miles per week for 4-5 months a year. When it's nice out I walk outside. Due to back and neck issues I can't run

So I walk a lot. There where some days I would go for 2 hours at 4mph.

The last couple of years the treadmill started to show its age. It just died last week, started to smoke after a 90 minute walk.

I would purchase the same model if it was still made. I don't need fansy features just speed and vertical adjustment.

Hope this helps

Treadmill smoking
by: Barry

Maybe it just needs a new belt for the motor.

I have a 1999 True Fitness 525.

Over $3,000 then and still solid.

Alliance 835HR Treadmill

by Gordon Stogre
(Mississauga, Ontario, Canada)

We've had our Alliance 835HR treadmill for over 10 years without any problem whatsoever. Even teenage boys haven't managed to cause any malfunctions although they abused it. All functions work normally now and for me that's a sign of good workmanship and materials

How can I find a replacement key, the magnet quick stop? It won't work without it and tried a regular magnet and that won't work.

Selling Alliance 835HR
by: Anonymous

I own an AlliANCE 835hr. Iam 86 now and no longer use it or have used it only rarely. It is still in good condition. What would be a fair price to ask for it?

835HR is a great treadmill
by: Anonymous

Bought the Alliance 835HR in 2000 for $1,400.

No issues with it even though we have been using it routinely for over 13 years.

I think its a great treadmill. I believe they are no longer making treadmills.

alliance treadmill support

by Kathie Hardy
(Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada)

I have been trying for several months to have a technican come over to check on my treadmill.

I keep getting S1 and S2 error messages. I purchased the treadmil from Treadmill Express in Winipeg, but they do not answer the phone and the business is always closed.

I think it is the circuit board, where can I get a technician or purchase a circuit board?

7 years going on 8

by Gerard
(Phoenix AZ.)

910HR model used on and off and sometimes heavy use for extended periods.

What can I say? It has been perfect and just today after 7 years I discovered I should have been lubricating it now and then. Definately now!
I mean using silicone on the deck.

I don't program it at all as I just use the controlls on the fly to adjust the speed and incline as I want.

My son does program it for his running.

My wife uses it like I do as some days she wants to burn and other days she wants to simmer.

I strongly recommend this Treadmill to any family that can put it someplace where there is a TV or other entertainment available while doing your thing. That is the key for my family. The TV.
Without it usage goes WAY down by one and all.

So think about that too as these things are not cheap. Flat place with a TV. It should be in it's own place ideally so your kids can watch whatever crap they like or listen to their crappy music without disturbing you.And of course the reverse is true too.
BUT!

It is yours so stick it in your own place if you want and make them suffer YOUR TV programs and music as there is no doubt that it will do them some good.

Peace, Gerard
