Horizon TreadmillsHorizon treadmills are known for having low price tags. Most of these machines are entry level units. Are They For You?If you’re looking for cheap treadmills that would look good in your home, then this brand can provide you that. Horizon models may be priced like a budget treadmill but they are far from looking like one. But don’t let their excellent designs fool you. No matter how good they look, they are still budget treadmills, and budget treadmills are not for serious runners. The Company behind the BrandHorizon Fitness is a division of Johnson Tech, Inc. Johnson Tech is also the producer of the brands Vision, Cateye, and Matrix. They had been manufacturing fitness equipment for both home and commercial use for the last 25 years. In 1995, their production facility conformed to the ISO9001 standards for design, development, production, installation and servicing. 
Currently, Horizon treadmills are being manufactured in China. This is one way for the company to keep their expenses low in order to maintain their price advantage over their competitors. Price RangeAs I’ve mentioned above, Horizons are sold for very low prices. Their machines range from $500 to $2,000. And with prices like these, I believe most people can find something that they can afford. WeaknessSince treadmills from this brand are built in China, their quality and durability are definitely weaknesses. China made products have a reputation for being both low priced and low quality. RecommendationIf you're looking for a budget treadmill, then Horizon treadmills are worth checking out (especially their latest $1,000 models). The quality, features and power of their machines has improve dramatically these last few years. This is also the best selling treadmill from Amazon at the time this was reviewed. Horizon T202 Treadmill Cost:$799.99 Motor Size: 2.5hp continuous duty Maximum Speed: 12mph Running Surface Size: 55in x 20in Heart Rate: yes Folding: yes Others: Another beautifully packaged treadmill from Horizon. Horizon T203 Treadmill Cost:$999.99 Motor Size: 2.75hp continuous duty Maximum Speed: 12mph Running Surface Size: 60in x 20in Heart Rate: yes Folding: yes Others: Comes with extra long running surface and a big motor. Below are some of the older treadmills from Horizon that have been discontinued. I would keep the reviews here as most of these machines are still being sold by some websites. Horizon T51 Treadmill Discontinued Cost:$699.00 Motor Size: 1.75hp continuous duty Maximum Speed: 10mph Running Surface Size: 50in x 18in Heart Rate: yes Folding: yes Others: This is one of the cheapest models from Horizon a few years ago. Horizon T52 Treadmill Discontinued Cost:$899.00 Motor Size: 2.0hp continuous duty Maximum Speed: 10mph Running Surface Size: 55in x 20in Heart Rate: yes Folding: yes Others: This is another low quality entry level treadmill from Horizon. Horizon Elite 1.1T Treadmill Discontinued Cost:$899.00 Motor Size: 1.75hp continuous duty Maximum Speed: 10mph Running Surface Size: 55in x 20in 2-ply Heart Rate: yes Folding: yes Others: This is actually the only Elite model being sold below $1,000. Horizon T1201 Treadmill Discontinued Cost:$999.99 Motor Size: 2.5hp continuous duty Maximum Speed: 12mph Running Surface Size: 60in x 20in Heart Rate: yes Folding: yes Others: One of the best treadmills ever produced by horizon. It is also included as one of the best treadmills below $1,000 in our best buy list last 2010. Horizon T53 Treadmill Discontinued Cost:$1,099.00 Motor Size: 2.25hp continuous duty Maximum Speed: 12mph Running Surface Size: 55in x 20in Heart Rate: yes Folding: yes Others: This is one of the few treadmills in the Horizon series to have a price tag above $1,000. Horizon Elite 2.1T Treadmill Discontinued Cost:$1,199.00 Motor Size: 2.0hp continuous duty Maximum Speed: 10mph Running Surface Size: 55in x 20in 2-ply Heart Rate: yes Folding: yes Others: This machine has a slightly more powerful motor and better electronics than the Elite 1.1T above. Horizon Elite 3.1T Treadmill Discontinued Cost:$1,399.00 Motor Size: 2.25hp continuous duty Maximum Speed: 10mph Running Surface Size: 55in x 20in 2-ply Heart Rate: yes Folding: yes Others: This is arguably the best treadmill in the Horizon lineup before the 2009-2010 models. Horizon Elite 4.1T Treadmill Discontinued Cost:$1,699.00 Motor Size: 2.5hp continuous duty Maximum Speed: 10mph Running Surface Size: 55in x 20in 2-ply ortho belt Heart Rate: yes Folding: yes Others: Just another ordinary mid-priced treadmill in the Elite lineup.
