Vision T9450 HRT Treadmill Review

Vision T9450 HRT Treadmill

Vision T9450 HRT Treadmill

Other than the orthopedic belt, the Vision T9450 HRT treadmill is identical to the cheaper Vision T9350 HRT. And if you’ll ask me which of the two is the better buy, I would have to go with the T9350 for its durability. (more on this later)

Is This the Best Treadmill For You?

If you’re looking for a great looking folding treadmill with excellent cushioning, then look no further, this is the model for you. But before you buy, I strongly suggest you read this whole review first. There are some things about this treadmill that might make you change your mind.

What It Offers

As I said above, this model is identical to the T9350 but with an orthopedic or ortho belt. Ortho belts are softer than ordinary belts so it feels better to run on. However, the problem with it is that it causes more wear and tear on the treadmill that will lead to tons of repairs and maintenance in the future. So unless you want lots of headaches in the future, I recommend you stick with the T9350 HRT.

This treadmill boasts a 2.5HP continuous duty Cambridge motor that has a speed range of 0.5-10mph and an incline range of 0-12%. Add to this the fact that it features numerous workout programs, and you’ll get all the variety and flexibility you’ll need to have an effective workout.

The 20” x 54” running surface gives you enough space to move and be comfortable while exercising. And, it comes with 8 variable-durometer elastomers which cushion harmful impact on your knees, ankle and back for a safer, more injury-free run.

The console is a SMART-MATRIX™ HRT® with 3 LED windows that shows you your speed, distance, time, calories, elevation, pace, heart rate, and avg. speed so you can always measure your progress. There are also 9 speed and elevation quick keys in this console to allow you to easily make adjustments on your workouts.

And finally, it comes with decent home warranties. It has a lifetime warranty for the frame and motor, 5 years for electronics and parts, and a year for labor. These warranties are pretty impressive especially since this model is being sold below the $2,000 price range.

Weakness

As you might have already guessed, the biggest weakness of this machine is its ortho belt. Another problem this model has is that like most Vision treadmills, this one also uses wax for its deck. Although wax reduces maintenance, it also causes more wear and tear (just like the ortho belt) so it is likely that you’ll have more problems with this unit in the future than those Vision treadmills without ortho belts.

Recommendation

I would not recommend the Vision T9450 HRT treadmill. Besides, if you are in this price range you can already afford to buy a Sportsart or a Pacemaster. Treadmills from these brands can give you way better value for your money than what the Vision T9450 offers.
