Encore EC 4500 Treadmill Review

Encore EC 4500 Treadmill

Encore EC 4500 Treadmill

Update: This treadmill has been discontinued

The Encore EC 4500 is the improved version of the Encore EC 1500 treadmill. When compared, the EC

4500 comes with bigger rollers and larger running belt but it is also $200 more expensive.

Is This Treadmill Right for You?

This treadmill would fit those looking for excellent motor warranties. Plus, its belt size is pretty big so tall people might find this model attractive. But before you start buying be sure to read this whole review first. There are things here that might make you change your mind.

Features and Benefits

This Encore model comes with a 2.5HP continuous duty motor. It can reach a max speed of 10mph and can be inclined for up to 12%. So whether you’re a beginner or an advance runner, this machine has something for you.

The 20inch x 56inch tread belt is way bigger than its cheaper counterpart. This is perfect for tall people since they are the ones requiring bigger running surfaces to accommodate their long strides.

Just like the most Keys Fitness treadmills, the Encore EC 4500 treadmill comes with 10 years motor warranty. Only a few companies(in this price range) can match a warranty like that. Other warranties include… lifetime for frames, 2 years for parts and a year for labor.

Weakness

The company used decent parts for this treadmill. However, they still need to do a better job on the finish quality. But overall, this is a pretty good exercise machine.

Recommendation

There are still some things the company needs to improve on(quality, reliability, etc.) before I can really recommend this model. So to conclude, I don’t recommend the Encore EC 4500.

If you're looking for a treadmill in this price range, a better option for you would be the Smooth 7.1HR. It is considered by most as the best treadmill below $1,500.

Summary:

Motor: 2.5 HP continuous motor

Speed: 0.6 to 10 mph

Rollers: 2.5”

User Weight Capacity: 275 lbs

Incline: 0 to 12%

Warranty: Lifetime on frames, 10 years for motor, 2 years for parts and 1 year for labor.

• 3 Pre-set and 6 Custom Programs
