Speed Sensor dirty, missing, bent?
by: jatinah

Hi There,

It sounds like the control board or upper console is missing a feedback signal, possibly the speed sensor that watches a small magnet as the front roller turns on your treadmill.

This turning roller and a frequency "lookup table" in the tiny micro controller on the lower board tells the control board how fast the roller is turning, and compares it to your speed command setting to regulate speed.

Deck resistance is "key" to keeping a treadmill running at it's best, as that frickion can cause issues.

Does the belt move easily over the deck when it is running?

This can also happen when a motor control board begins to die due to aged capacitors and stresses over the years.

Fitness Remedy in Sun Prairie, Wisc., repairs most control boards and are super folks!

Good luck!
