True 550 ZTX P Treadmill Review

True 550 ZTX P Treadmill

True 550 ZTX P Treadmill

The True 550 ZTX P treadmill is the cheapest model in the extremely expensive 550 ZTX series. This machine comes with the

biggest running surface currently being offered by True on their home machines. Add to this the fact that it still features the best belt and deck combination in the market, and this unit can easily become one of the best home treadmill experience you will ever have.

Is This Your Best Buy Treadmill?

If you’re a big person who needs lots of running space, I suggest you read this whole review. With its huge tread belt and excellent cushioning, this might be the machine you’ve been looking for. However, with a price tag of nearly $4,500, I don’t think most people can afford this unit. So if this machine is beyond your budget, I suggest you look for comparable treadmills using our best buy treadmills page.

What You’ll Get

This model boasts a 3.0HP continuous duty motor that serves up speeds of up to 12mph (this max speed is higher than what models from other True home series is offering) and inclines that reaches 15%. So it doesn’t matter whether you’re a beginner or advance runner, this machine can provide you the intensity you need.

The True 550 ZTX P treadmill has a 22” x 60” running surface. This is the currently the biggest tread belt for home being offered by True. Plus, with its magnificent belt and deck combination, this unit could very well provide you the best treadmill experience you’ll ever have.

This machine also features 4 pre-programmed workouts (Weight Loss, Speed Interval, C/V Workout, Hill Interval) with 9 intensity levels each and 3 customizable programs to give you more variety and flexibility in your exercises.

The 10 x 28 LED tri-color dot matrix display is bigger than your average True console(7 x 20). It shows you your speed, distance, grade, time, pace, calories and Mets so you’ll always know whether or not you are progressing.

The manual S.O.F.T. select is still available in this model. With it, you can customize the softness of your treadmill to fit you more through 12 manually adjustable settings.

And finally, this unit comes with excellent warranty. Its drive motor and all of its parts are covered for 10 years… making this one of the best warranties in its price range. Other warranties include a lifetime for frames and 1 year for labor.

Weakness

The biggest weakness of this machine is its price. It provides little value for the price it’s asking. In short, this machine is overpriced.

Recommendation

I don’t recommend the True 550 ZTX P treadmill. It provides below average value for its price. Besides, there are lots of better brands than True in this price range. See our best buy treadmills page.
