Spirit Z500 Treadmill Review

Spirit Z500 Treadmill
Just like the Z300, the Spirit Z500 treadmill is another great
looking treadmill with excellent folding feature. But with a price tag of above $2,000, most people would probably hesitate to buy it.
Is This Treadmill for You?
This treadmill is for people who have limited spaces at home and need a treadmill that doesn’t take up too much area especially when not in use. So if you don’t have spacious rooms at home to place your new treadmill, then this model might be worth considering.
What You’ll Get…
You’ll get a powerful 3.0HP continuous duty motor, capable of speeds from 0.1 to 12mph. It can also be elevated from 0-15%. And, it comes with speed and incline control on the arm rests so you can easily adjust your workout intensity.
The 20” x 58” running surface comes with 2ply tread belt which is in my opinion, better than the ortho belt the Z300 offers. Its belt is also longer than the average Spirit, so expect more room for you to move.
Spirit Z500 treadmill is fully equipped with all the programs you’d expect. It has 6 auto programs, 2 user customized programs, and 2 separate heart rate control programs to give more choices and flexibility in your workouts.
The console is a tri color LED with 6 windows to display important information regarding your run. It also comes with a 16 character message window for instructions and feedbacks. There is also a 1/4 mile track feature and an HR% graph for different programs.
Weakness?
As with all Spirit treadmills, their biggest fallback is their quality. This machine lacks the quality and reliability needed to really be considered as a great treadmill. Also, I think this treadmill is a bit overpriced.
Recommendation
With a price tag of more than $2,000, you’ll be better off buying a treadmill from another brand. (the Smooth 9.15HR is currently our best buy folding treadmill) This model simply has to many setbacks for me to even consider recommending it. So to conclude, I don’t recommend the Spirit Z500 treadmill.
