Shocking!
I have been using a NordicTrack EXP1000 for quite some time (purchased new at Sears). It replaced a Weider/Pro Form treadmill that burned its motor. I'm on this machine twice a day. From the very first, it had electrical problems. Well, actually, static problems. There would be so much static that the machine would short itself out and stop. (With shock to the user when touching any metal parts during workouts.) Under warranty, the company serviced the unit by, ultimately, after the second visit, adding a wire to tap the static. (I also was told to add a mat under the unit to isolate it.) That made things better--the machine didn't short out, but there continued to be constant static discharge.
Now, the severe problem has returned. As far as I know, the wires they added are still connected, so that shouldn't be the problem. The machine turns itself off during workouts with no obvious reason.
I'm certainly not happy with this product, and would not recommend anything made by the same manufacturer.
