Reebok 8100 ES Treadmill

Reebok 8100 ES Treadmill
For a treadmill below $1,000, the Reebok 8100 ES treadmill offers excellent value with its powerful motor. It is probably one of the best values you will find in a sub-$1,000 treadmill.
However, its short warranties might turn off some people from purchasing this machine.
Is This the Best Treadmill for You?
If excellent power is what you’re looking for in a treadmill, then I can safely say that you can’t go wrong with this one. Its motor is comparable to treadmills more than twice its price.
What You’ll Be Getting
The Reebok 8100 ES treadmill comes with a huge 3.5 HP continuous duty motor which is something you normally just see in treadmills $2,000 or above. This powerful motor can reach a maximum speed of 12mph and has a maximum incline of 12% which is more than enough even for intense running. These are pretty impressive considering that this is a sub $1,000 treadmill.
The 20” x 55” running surface provides just enough room for you to workout comfortably in this machine. Plus, the DMX™ Cushioning on the tread belt can be adjusted from firm to soft to better absorb your strides and protect your joints from injury.
The 8100 ES also boasts of 16 built-in workout programs including 6 weight loss programs and 2 customizable learned programs to help you reach your goals. Plus, if you want to check your heart rate during workouts there is also an EKG grip pulse monitor. You just need to grab the crossbar for accurate heart rate readouts.
Another feature is the iPod® compatible dock which keeps you entertained during workouts. There is also a display panel with multi-window LCD with 6 x 6 workout matrix so you can easily monitor your progress throughout your entire exercise.
And finally, the Reebok 8100 ES comes with a lifetime warranty for its frame, a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty for its motor, but just a 1 year warranty for its parts and labor which is pretty short compared to other highly regarded treadmills in this price range.
Weakness
As mentioned above, the only weakness I see in this machine is its warranty. But if you can live with a 1 year parts warranty, then I don’t see any reason why you shouldn’t choose this machine if you’re in the market for a $1,000 treadmill.
Recommendation:
If you don’t care about the short 1 year parts warranty, then the Reebok 1800 ES treadmill is definitely recommended. But if you’re having doubts, then I suggest you visit our best buy treadmills page to look for other treadmills we recommend.
