Shortly after I purchased this treadmill, I noticed that the incline and fan buttons does not work properly. Options on the left side of the treadmill worked intermittently but the right side was fine. The speed control is on the right, so the treadmill would always run, but the fan button required some giggling and only seemed to work after about 20 minutes of use. Soon, the incline was the same way. When the fan did finally operate, it would sporatically make a high pitched sqeel that could make your ears bleed. It was as difficult to stop the fan as it was to start it, so I'd have to pull the plug and begin again.

This treadmill is 3 years old and it apparently needs a new console board, which cost $300 for the part and that doesn't include installation. Sears repair charges $100 just to walk through your door. I appear to be screwed.
