Proform CrossWalk Performance LXs Treadmill Review

Proform CrossWalk Performance LXs Treadmill

Proform CrossWalk Performance LXs Treadmill

The Proform CrossWalk Performance LXs treadmill boasts the adjustable resistance upper body arms.

And, compared to other Proform treadmills, this one comes with a longer motor warranty.

Is This Treadmill Perfect For You?

This machine is perfect for those who want to use exercise bars while running. However, it has some quality issues so intense workouts are not really recommended. If you’re a serious runner, this model is not for you. You'll be better off buying some hand weights then choose a treadmill in the $1,500 or above price range. (See our best buy treadmills page)

Features and Benefits

The 2.25 HP (not continuous duty) is perfect for walkers. However, I don’t think it is powerful enough to meet the needs of runners. Besides, you shouldn't use this for running due to its poor quality.

One unique feature this and other Crosswalk series treadmills has is the upper body exercise bars. And this machine’s exercise bars comes with independent adjustable resistance. These bars help you burn more calories while running.

The 17” x 50” tread belt is a little small considering its price tag. I don’t think most individuals would be comfortable walking/ jogging on it. So be sure you try it out first before deciding to buy.

Other features include 4 built-in workouts for exercise variety, CoolAir™ workout fan to help you remain fresh during those long workouts, SpaceSaver® fold away design so you can fold the treadmill after use to save space, EKG pulse grip sensor to allow you to workout in your target heart range and a 4-window LED console which displays your workout information so you’ll always know your progress.

What This Treadmill Lacks

Just like other Proform treadmills, this one also comes with cheap parts which is the reason why its reliability and quality is way below average.

Recommendation:

I don’t recommend the Proform CrossWalk Performance LXs treadmill because of its low quality. If you want to exercise your upper body, you can always buy some hand weights. Besides, I don’t think this treadmill would be usable for very long.

If you want a quality entry level treadmill, I strongly suggest you visit our Smooth 5.15P treadmill review. It is currently our best buy treadmill below $1,000.
