I also have a Pacemaster Gold Elite at home, and the heart rate monitor doesn't work. I called the service, and luckily, they replaced it with a new one with no additional cost. Still, I've experience the same problems after 1 months I used it, I returned it afterward.

sounds to me that you don't have a heart. My Gold Elite has been flawless!!
