NodicTrack EXP 1000 Treadmill

Great at lower speeds, but JERKS when you're trying to run on it. Also, running belt has shifted to the left, to the point of rubbing the housing - and I can't locate ANY place that has an Owner's Manual - including NordicTrack.

Its an older model - but I at least expect to be able to find out how I can shift the running belt back to center. I'll buy a different brand next time.

re: burning

either your motor or controller is making the smoke. you need to take the hood off and see which one it is. if it's the controller, you will have to buy a new one and replace it. if it is the motor, you may be able to get away with lubricating the belt. the belt that you walk on dries out and when that happens it puts friction on the motor and will burn it out. unfortunately, it sounds like you really need a professional to come out and diagnose everything you need to have it working properly. if you live in Massachusetts visit treadmillrepairguys.com

i very recently bought a exp1000 tredmill used, i was so excited because i had been wanting one for years, Now my health requires that i exercise everyday . I have heart problems ,I'm a diabetic, with high col&HBP. I've had the tredmill now for two weeks and have been really faithfull in walking eveyday untill last night i was walking on it and i smelled something burning, i looked down and my tredmill was smoking, i jumped off and unplugged it, now im afraid to plug it back up, dont have money to have it serviced or to buy another, what do i do now?
