The Life Fitness T9i treadmill is a home version of Life Fitness’ commercial treadmills.

It is one of the biggest and most powerful home treadmills currently being offered by the company.

Is This Your Best Buy Treadmill?

If you’re a hardcore runner looking for a treadmill that can withstand your intense workouts, then this machine is a perfect fit for you. It is similar to most Life Fitness health club treadmills so expect it to be huge and powerful.

However, as you might have already expected, this model doesn’t come cheap. And with a $5,500 price tag, I don’t think most people can afford it. So if you think this unit is beyond your budget, I suggest you visit our best buy treadmills page and look for quality treadmills within your price range.

Features and Benefits

This machine offers a huge 4.0HP AC commercial grade motor which can reach speeds of up to 12mph and can be inclined for up to 15%. This motor is so huge that you’ll usually only see it on health club treadmills.

The long 60”L x 20”W commercial grade deck and belt combination gives you lots of room to move and be comfortable during your workout. And, it still features the FlexDeck Shock Absorption System that reduces stress on your joints and muscle (by up to 30% compared to non-cushioned treadmills) while running to minimize injuries.

The Life Fitness T9i treadmill also features 16 workout programs which include classic workouts, heart rate zone training + workouts, and sports training workouts to give you lots of exercise options. You’ll also get 7 My Workouts™ Programs and 6 My Own Custom Workouts to include some much needed flexibility to help you reach your goals faster.

Other features include a deluxe 18-character LED message center for easy reading of your workout information, a 7x15 LED workout profile display showing your progress, LifePulse ™ contact hand sensors and wireless Polar® chest strap ensures for accurate interactive heart rate monitoring, an activity zone user console that has large raised buttons to make it easier for you to change your speed and incline, a reading rack to place magazines and an accessory tray to hold your sports bottles.

Weakness

As I’ve mentioned above, this machine comes with a heavy price tag so I don’t think most people can afford it. But I believe Life Fitness has every right to price this machine as such, considering everything they’ve included to make this treadmill more appealing.

Recommendation

I would recommend the Life Fitness T9i treadmill if you can afford it and if you really are a hardcore runner. Otherwise stick to well known mid to premium priced home treadmill brands like Smooth, Landice or Precor.
