Life Fitness T5-5 Treadmill Review

Life Fitness T5-5 Treadmill

Life Fitness T5-5 Treadmill

The Life Fitness T5-5 treadmill is the company's premiere model with advance electronics. However, compared to other treadmills in the T-series this year, this one doesn’t provide as much value.

(Article Continues Below...)

Is This the Best Treadmill for You?

If you’re looking for a feature-rich treadmill from a brand you know and trust, then this is one of your better choices. But like the Life Fitness T5-0, the improvements on this machine is not worth the price increase from the T3-0 and T3-5 models.

What You’ll Get

As I’ve mentioned above, this machine features advance electronics. It comes with a deluxe 16 character LED message center to keep you motivated, a 10x24 LED workout profile display that shows your progress, and a control pad user console for easy workout adjustments during your run.

The Life Fitness T5-5 treadmill boasts a 3.0HP continuous duty motor that has a max speed of 12mph and a max incline of 15%. This motor is perfect for beginners, intermediate or advance runners who want intense workouts.

The 22” x 60” tread belt is longer than the cheaper models in the T-series. It gives enough room for you to move and be comfortable during your workout. And, it still features the FlexDeck Shock Absorption System that reduces stress on your joints and muscle (by up to 30% compared to non-cushioned treadmills) while running to minimize injuries.

This model also features 15 pre-programmed workouts (which includes a Daily Training Workout and a 10,000 steps workout), 7 My Workouts™ programs, 2 My Treadmill User Profiles, and 4 My Own Custom Workout to provide you with the variety and flexibility you need to reach your training goals.

Other features include Polar Telemetry heart rate monitor with wireless chest strap for HR workouts, quickstart for workout flexibility, a reading rack and an accessory tray to place your magazines and sports bottles.

Weakness

I have to admit, this model is way better than the comparable treadmill Life Fitness was offering last year. However, compared to most of this year’s model, the T5-5 treadmill is just like the T5-0. It doesn’t provide as much value.

Recommendation

To conclude, I would not recommend the Life Fitness T5-5 treadmill. Other Life Fitness treadmills would give you more value for your money. Also, you might want to check out our Best Buy Treadmills page. There, you will find the best treadmills arranged by price.
