Gold's Gym 450 Is A Winner
by Underdog
(Denison, Texas)
I am 66 years old and I bought the 450 Treadmill for exercise. I bought it at Wal-Mart and had it assembled in less than a hour. You must remember to turn on the unit via the red switch next to the power cord or you will not have any power to the unit. (I learned the hard way) I don't know anything about running or jogging because I bought this treadmill for walking. Once a day I get on it and set the speed at 3 MPH, the incline at 4 per cent, and I walk for 45 minutes. It does that procedure perfectly!! I love to adjust the incline while I am walking. I usually bump it up a little for the last five minutes to finish with a sweat. The digital instrument panel could be a little brighter for these old eyes, but I placed the treadmill under a light and problem solved. The fan works great for cooling purposes and there are places positioned for your water bottle. Most of the reviews kept repeating "for serious workouts you must buy a treadmill over $1,000." Bunk! This is a great machine and well worth the investment.. Thanks.
