Evo FX40-HR Treadmill Review

Evo FX40-HR Treadmill

Evo FX40-HR Treadmill

The Evo FX40-HR treadmill is one of the best folding treadmills in the market today.

With its powerful motor, stable frame, and affordable price, the Evo FX40-HR is without a doubt the best treadmill in the Evo lineup this 2006.

Is This Your Best Buy Treadmill?

If you’re looking for an affordable HRC (heart rate control) treadmill with excellent power, spacious running surface, numerous features, and long warranties, then this is the model for you. Plus, it is equipped with the patented motion control feature and Swing Arm frame cushioning which makes this model even more appealing.

What You’ll Get

As I’ve mentioned above, this machine is one of the best folding treadmills in the market today. It features a shock-assisted manual fold so you could easily fold and unfold this treadmill to save space. It also comes with a four-wheel castor system so you can easily move the machine from one place to another. This feature is perfect for those with limited areas at home.

Just like other Evo treadmills, this one also boasts the motion control feature. It lets you adjust the speed of your run by simply waving your hand over light sensors on the handrail. It is perfect for hardcore runners who usually runs on a fast pace as it won’t require you to uncomfortably lean and reach forward while in motion, just to change your speed.

The Evo FX40-HR treadmill offers a huge 3.0HP continuous duty motor which is an excellent bargain considering its price. This motor is capable of delivering speeds of up to 10mph and has 15 levels of incline to give you the intensity you need for an effective workout.

The 20” x 54” running surface gives you enough room to move so you can have a comfortable workout. This tread belt is equipped with the Swing Arm frame cushioning system which reduces harmful impact on you knees, joints, and ankle to minimize injuries that might occur during your exercise.

The 1/4 mile running track, 3 pre-set programs with 12 intensity levels each, 3 custom courses and 9 user profiles give you more variety and flexibility you’ll need to get results.

The wireless heart rate control and hand pulse grip monitor allow you to easily workout in your target heart rate zone for a more efficient exercise. Plus, with the 5 window dot matrix display, you’ll see your calories/levels, time, pulse, distance simultaneously (No toggling required) so you can always keep track of your progress.

Other features include non-slip large 2.5” rollers to extend the life of the belt, deck and roller bearings, and a textured whisper weave belt to minimize noise during workouts.

And finally, like other Evo treadmills this 2006, this one also comes with generous warranties. It boasts lifetime warranties for frame and motor, 5 years for parts, and a year for labor/in-home service.

Weakness

Just like other Evo models this year, this machine also needs some improvements on its fit and finish. However, this is just a minor setback and overall, I would still consider this machine an excellent mid-priced HRC/Folding treadmill.

Recommendation

I highly recommend the Evo FX40-HR treadmill. If you’re looking for an excellent HRC or folding treadmill, look no further. This is the treadmill for you.

However, if you don’t feel like this is the treadmill for you, I highly recommend you check out our Best Buy Treadmills page. There, you’ll find all the best treadmills arranged by price.
