Evo FX20 Treadmill Review

Evo FX20 Treadmill

Evo FX20 Treadmill

Update: This treadmill has been discontinued

The Evo FX20 treadmill is the cheapest treadmill in Evo’s 2006 treadmill lineup.

But don’t let the price fool you. Even though it’s cheaper than most Evo treadmills, it still boasts the motion control feature that this brand is known for.

Is This the Best Treadmill for You?

If you’re looking for a decent low to mid priced treadmill with a solid feel and long warranties, then this is the unit for you. It is most fitting to soft runners and jogger alike. Plus, it is equipped with motion control feature which makes buying this model even more tempting.

What You’ll Get

As I’ve mentioned before, this machine boasts the motion control feature. It lets you adjust the speed of your run by simply waving your hand over light sensors on the handrail. It is perfect for hardcore runners who usually runs on a fast pace as it won’t require you to uncomfortably lean and reach forward while in motion, just to change your speed.

The Evo FX20 offers a 2.5HP continuous duty motor which is capable of delivering speeds of up to 10mph and has 15 levels of incline. Combine this with the 3 goal programs and 3 preset programs and you’ll get the variety, flexibility and power you need to attain your training goals.

The 20” x 54” running surface gives you enough room to move so you can have a comfortable workout. And with its Swing Arm frame cushioning system, workout injuries will surely be minimized.

Other features include a handrail pulse grip monitor that enables you to workout in your target heart rate zone for a more efficient exercise, backlit LCD display that gives feedbacks on your exercise, Textured Whisper Weave™ low-noise belt and Non-slip large 2.5" rollers that extend the life of the belt, deck, and roller bearings.

Finally, like other Evo treadmills, the Evo FX20 treadmill also comes with generous warranties. It offers a lifetime warranty on frames and motor, 3 years on all parts, and a year on in-home service/labor. With warranties like these, you know that the product is of high quality since the manufacturer is obviously behind their product.

Weakness

There are some minor weaknesses in this machine’s fit and finish. Other than that, this model is pretty good as a beginner treadmill.

Recommendation

I would recommend the Evo FX20 treadmill for those who want the motion control feature. However, if you’re a serious runner, you might want to check out one of Evo’s higher end models (preferably the FX40HR) which are more stable and comes with better specs and features.
