Alliance 815 Treadmill Review

Alliance 815 Treadmill

Alliance 815 Treadmill

Update: This treadmill has been discontinued

The Alliance 815 treadmill is one of the best treadmills under $1,000. This is definitely Keys Fitness’ (the manufacturer
and owner of the Alliance as well as other treadmill brands) best entry level machine.

Is This Treadmill Right for You?

If you are on a limited budget but still want a quality treadmill, then this is one of the better units you could buy. But I must warn you, although this is a good machine, it is still an entry level treadmill. So expect only entry level specs and features.

What It Offers

The 2.5HP continuous duty motor of this model is one of the most powerful drive motors being offered below $1,000. It can reach a high speed of 10mph and can be inclined for up to 12% to give you maximum intensity in your workouts.

But just like the cheaper 800 model, most serious runners might not feel comfortable running on the 18inch x 51inch tread belt that comes with this machine. But that (small running deck) is to be expected from most entry level treadmills.

And finally, like other Keys’ owned treadmills, it boasts the classic 10 year motor warranty. This warranty is hard to beat especially by other units in the price range it’s in. Its other warranties include lifetime for frames, 2 years for parts and 1 year for labor.

Weakness

The LCD console and belt size could use some improvements. But other than those, this is a pretty good treadmill to own.

Recommendation

I do recommend the Alliance 800 treadmill. Keys has made some improvements in quality (which is the biggest weakness of most Keys brands), as well as upgraded some features and specs, that made it really hard not to recommend this machine.
