Alliance 800 Treadmill Review

Alliance 800 Treadmill

Alliance 800 Treadmill

Update: This treadmill has been discontinued

The Alliance 800 is Alliance’s entry level model. This basic treadmill is only being sold at around $900. But don’t
let the price fool you, although it comes with a cheap price tag, it still offers Keys’ (the manufacturer and owner of the Alliance brand) classic 10 year motor warranty.

Is This Treadmill Right for You?

This machine would be perfect for people on a tight budget. But don’t expect too much from this model as it is only a basic treadmill. If you want feature rich treadmills, you’ll have to spend at least $1,500 for it. May I suggest you choose from our best buy treadmills page.

What It Offers

The Alliance 800 offers a 2.0 HP continuous duty motor that can reach speeds of up to 10mph and elevations of up to 12%. This model gives the most powerful motor compared to other entry level units from other Keys brands.

However, the 18inch x 51inch tread belt is a little below average. They should be offering more if they really want to be one of the better entry level treadmills. Also, hardcore runners might find this running space a bit too small.

And like I’ve said above, this machine comes with Keys’ classic 10 year motor warranty. This is hard to beat especially by non-Keys manufactured entry level units. Other warranties include lifetime for frames, 2 years for parts and 1 year for labor.

Weakness

The biggest weakness of this model is its cheap parts. In an effort to keep prices low, most Keys parts are imported overseas. But this move also resulted in below average quality for most of their products.

Recommendation

Until the quality is improved, I can’t recommend the Alliance 800 treadmill. There are other entry level machines out there that would give you more value for your money. (See our best buy treadmills page.)
